In a board room filled with marketing executives, I slipped a note into John's hand. He read it and told what was there on the note to Mike, who sat next to him. In China, bottled water companies and industries would benefit by ensuring their Chinese bottled water consumers that their water is clean and pure. For marketers, bottled water in China could make use of this fact to convince customers not to buy from the competition. In order for this to be effective, however, there will need to be several reassurances and authoritative documentation of its purity, perhaps a lab comparison.
